Austin is the capital of the state of Texas and considered to be the second most densely inhabitated state in the United States. It has more than a million populations with the metropolitan areas serving as centers for political, research, technological, and academic activities. The city is also very popular for sparkling lakes and spectacular terrains which make it as great oasis for recreation and extreme sports. It is also home for the University of Texas or UT which has a total of 48,000 students and has greatly influenced the character and outlook of the community towards achievements and education.

Austin was founded in the year 1839 and was chosen to be the capital city of the Republic of Texas because it is popularly known for its fresh water resources, central location, proximity of timber and limestone, as well as natural beauty. The city was named after the famous colonizer of the area, Stephen F. Austin. It has 210 historical structures which include the Capital and Governor’s Mansion and also the seven historical districts.

The city is also highly recognized as the Live Music Capital of the World, which spawned a number of Grammy award winning artists. With a total population of close to 1.4 million people, Austin is also very famous for many of its live music venues, highly admired resorts, golf courses, spas, countrywide recognized film festivals, as well as amazing historical backgrounds. It also has more fine clubs and restaurants per capita than any other city in the United States.
